"My Creator, I am now willing that You should have all of me, good and bad. I pray that You now remove from me every single defect of character which stands in the way of my usefulness to You and my fellows. Grant me strength, as I go out from here, to do Your bidding. Amen."
Seventh Step Prayer

Daily Life at Bridges of Hope
At Bridges of Hope, every day is designed to strengthen sobriety, build life skills, and prepare residents for a successful, substance-free future.
Our structured residential recovery program blends faith-based spiritual growth, 12-step principles, and practical responsibilities—helping men and women replace destructive habits with healthy, purposeful living.

A Typical Day in Recovery
Residents participate in a variety of recovery-centered activities, including:
-
Daily morning devotionals for spiritual reflection and focus
-
AA Big Book studies to deepen understanding of the 12 steps
-
Small-group meetings for peer connection and accountability
-
On-site AA and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings
-
Off-premises AA meetings to connect with the wider recovery community
Responsibility & Life Skills
Bridges of Hope operates without hired staff for cleaning, housekeeping, maintenance, gardening, or repairs.
Instead, residents share daily responsibilities, which may include:
-
General housekeeping and facility upkeep
-
Vegetable gardening and greenhouse work
-
Woodworking and other hands-on projects
-
Community service work off-site
This self-sufficient approach reduces costs and fosters discipline, teamwork, and camaraderie—all essential skills for life after recovery.
Living in Community
Residents stay in dormitories, learning to live closely with others in a structured, supportive environment.
Daily life involves:
-
Waking early and following a consistent routine
-
Sharing meals and responsibilities
-
Attending recovery meetings as a group
-
Working together toward common goals
Restrictions on recreation, phone use, and visitation help residents stay focused on personal growth and sobriety.
Preparing for Life After the Program
Our commitment to recovery extends beyond a resident’s last day.
Approximately 45 days before program completion, each resident participates in an exit planning process that includes:
-
Identifying housing arrangements
-
Establishing a sober support network
-
Making plans for employment, education, or vocational training
-
Coordinating with halfway houses or transitional programs if needed
Office staff provide resources such as phone and internet access to help residents secure these plans.
By the time they graduate, each resident leaves with a clear, actionable plan—increasing their chances for long-term sobriety and success.
